Professional Experience
Marina Maranhão is active in analyzing and advising on corporate matters and related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Marina is experienced in corporate reorganizations, corporate governance, succession and patrimonial planning, business agreements and structuring of enterprises in several sectors of the economy.
Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree in law from the Universidad de Salamanca (Spain), duly recognized by Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Part of the Law education was completed at Universitat de Barcelona (Spain). Marina holds a postgraduate degree in Corporate Law (LLM) at IBMEC (Recife), completed an extension course on Taxation in the Corporate Structures and Transactions at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (São Paulo), and currently Marina pursues her MBA degree in Compliance and Corporate Governance at Católica Business School (Recife).
Other activities
Before dedicating herself exclusively to the DFA corporate area, Marina worked in São Paulo, mainly in mergers and acquisitions (M&As) transactions and corporate and tax planning. Marina advised national and international clients, startups, closed and publicly held corporations, amongst others, advising on the drafting, negotiation and registration of corporate documents, as well as others corporate obligations and real estate regularization.
